Constitution...

The Constitution Committee developed this constitution under the direction of the Barrie Elites Volleyball Club Executive.  Members of the committee were; Brad Graham, Lynn Brennan, Glenna Poick, Mike Sawchuk, Willem Steyn, Lori Ann Doyle, Ron Doyle.  It was develop to protect all particpants in the club and ensure that the club offers the best possible experience for players and to develop their skills in a safe and fun environment.

Changes can be made to the constitution at the annual general meeting (AGM) by making a motion.  Motions must be submitted to the Executive two weeks prior to the AGM so that they can be formally prepared for presentation. Motions presented at the AGM must have a 'Motioner' and a 'Seconder' present at the AGM at the time the motion is put forward.

Reason for Amendment:
To assist coaches of older teams that do not want to carry more than 9 player

Amendment: 
6.2    All teams must carry a minimum of 9 players.

Reason for Amendment:
To avoid losing more players and to allow younger players to stay and develop

Amendment: 
10.1.1  Players may tryout for a team of an older age category with the permission of the coach of that team and with the understanding that a position will not be held for them if they are unsuccessful in making that team.  A player playing up, may not assume that they will be allowed to play up from year to year.
