Beach Volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and the Ontario Volleyball Association Youth Tournaments have been gaining popularity every year. Players are having fun and improving their skills and playing all year round.

The Beach Blast Summer Volleyball Camps are designed for both players who are familiar with Beach Volleyball and want to get ready for the summer 2s tournaments and new this year, we are having a more Basic stream of the camp for players interested in improving their overall volleyball skills and learning to play volleyball in the sand. This new division will play 2’s, 4’s and 6’s on the sand.

Once again the Camp Director will be Hernán Humaña:

Former York University Womens coach, OVA Technical Director and Olympic Beach VB Coach of Mark Heese & John Child

Hernán is a great motivator of young athletes and provides a very positive environment for the kids to learn and develop.

The camp will include lots of fun non volleyball games as well and we have Indoor & Outdoor facilities so there will never be any rainouts.

Session 2: July 7-11

Session 3: July 14- 18

*Basic Stream for ages 11-17

*Elite 2 on 2 Stream for ages 12- 17

*Cost is $320 + gst per athlete per week

*9am-4pm daily

*Lunch not included

*Early drop off available at 8am and late pick up by 5pm at Beach Blast at 15 Leswyn Rd

For the younger kids we will be having a half day sports camp at the outdoor beach facility at The Columbus Centre:

Campers will enjoy a variety of entertaining activities in the sand led by our fun loving, experienced & creative Beach Blast Counselors. The camp program will incorporate multiple sports in the sand and emphasizes the fun of playing while developing sport specific skills and communication & teamwork. The sand is a great surface for kids to play and learn on.

*Beach Dodgeball – dodge, dip, duck, dive, throw and catch in a high paced action packed game using age appropriate rules and equipment

*Sand Soccer – learning to run, kick and pass in the sand is a great way to exercise and develop skills

*Ultimate Frisbee – start learning the basics of one of the most popular games in Toronto

*Beach Volleyball – we use a special modified game to introduce the kids to this sport. The focus is on fun and enjoyment not the rules.

*Beach Boot Camp – this is a mixed bag of activities that campers will be enjoying daily. From relay races to scavenger hunts to parachute games the beach boot camp will keep them moving and smiling
